Halloween had once again come to Hogwarts. Students were carving pumpkins in the Great Hall when Hermione walked in to lunch. Spotting Harry and Ron, she quickly found a seat next to them.

"Hey guys, how was Divination?"

"Well I'm going to die again and Ron is going to grow another toe."

Hermione giggled at Harry's response. She smiled happily, as thoughts of the night's feast ran through her head. Hermione grabbed her wand and the nearest unclaimed pumpkin thinking for a few minutes before flourishing the wand over the pumpkin. A beautiful design of fairies and butterflies appeared on the pumpkin.

"Hermione jack-o-lanterns are supposed to be scary," whined Ron before turning back to his own, which was covering in spiders and trolls. She just smiled at his naivety, and floated her jack-o-lantern to the teachers table where Flitwick was collecting them.

"Very well done Miss Granger, five points for Gryffindor!" Hermione beamed at the praise and headed back to her seat. Once there, lunch appeared in the middle of the tables. Ron and Harry dug in enthusiastically, but Hermione only picked at the food on her plate. She was trying to save room for the feast later that night and then the costume party in Gryffindor tower.

Gryffindor tower was filled with people in costumes. Hermione hardly recognized anybody; in fact, the only people she did recognize were Fred and George. The twins were handing out candy to unsuspecting strangers. Quite a few people were popping back to themselves after trying a Canary Crème. Hermione couldn't help but laugh as she saw a startled 'cat' spit feathers from their escapade. It was then that she noticed the devil in the corner. The devil was standing surrounded by blue flames, and had a brilliant green mask covering their face. Hermione couldn't help but wonder who it was or what house they were from. She knew that Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw had been invited to the party, but for some reason she didn't think he was from either house. It was only when she was on her way over that Hermione figured out just who was standing in the corner. Upon reaching the devil, she quickly motioned for him to follow and exited the common room.

Hermione turned around as she entered the owlery and accosted the devil following her. "What in bloody hell did you think you were doing at our party Malfoy!?!" Malfoy just grinned evilly, the flames around him dancing wickedly.

"Looking for angels to corrupt," he replied smartly looking Hermione up and down, admiring her angel costume. Hermione started to reply when suddenly she felt Draco's lips upon her own. After the initial shock of the kiss had worn off, Hermione pushed Draco away violently. She was sputtering trying to come up with something to say when Draco placed a finger upon her lips. "Shush my angel... I know I startled you but admit it... you enjoyed that." Hermione tried to think of some reply, but finally just gave up. She sighed then grabbed Draco and kissed him passionately in the full moon light.
