Prologue
"Mom... you home?" I called out as I step forward into the living room. There was trash everywhere; crumbs in the couch, the turtle tank smashed hopefully the turtle was okay. I walked with cautious as I stood in the doorway.
I gasped; my hands over my mouth as I try to hold back the tears. What I saw was implanted in my memory for as long as my miserable life would let me.
Before I could react and leave the house a hooded-man walked out of the bathroom; his mouth was twisted in a wicked smile. I rushed to the front door only to be stopped by another but smaller hooded person.
"Demetri..." The smaller person motioned. I took a step back as I asked, "Demetri..?"
Then there was an aching pain in my head; with a glance to the smaller person without her hood on was a girl no older than maybe 6 or 7. Then there was Darkness… everlasting…torturing…Darkness.
I knew I shouldn't have left him…cause now I needed him; more than anything
…I needed him…
