There was an old rumor among wizards that when two people were true soul mates that their patronesses would combine into one animal and would be as powerful as one-hundred patronesses. Luna knew that Ginny and Harry found theirs within each other, as did Ron and Hermione. Often when others thought she was daydreaming about nargles and the like, she was really dreaming about finding her own soulmate. After the final battle, Ginny became a chaser for the Hollyhead Harpies, Ron, Hermione, Harry, Neville, and Luna all became Aurors. Suprisingly, as did Malfoy. After all the commotion was over, all of them, (minus Ron) all spoke for him in his trial. Harry and Draco still had to be careful around each other, and Ron couldn't be in the same room as him without starting a bloody war, but the rest quickly became good friends with him. He, Neville and Luna were a team in their cases. They were working on a case about whether or not the rouge deatheaters were using the Dementors to guard their hideout. Once they discovered where the hideout was the entire Auror department went in wands a blazing. It was the former members of the DA's job to cast patronesses to fend off the Dementors. Ginny was called in too, as her and Harry's patronesses would be stronger together. Her Horse and Harry's Stag blended together to make a kelpie which lured off some of the Dementors, Hermione's otter and Ron's Terrier came together and formed a griffin (nobody understood that, they all just assumed it was Ron's Gryffindor side and Hermione's Ravenclaw side that joined to make a cross between a lion and a eagle,) but what surprised everyone was when Luna's hare and Neville's bear joined. Luna smiled dreamily. She had finally found her Crumple-Horned Snorckack.
