The What Alchemist?
Yay! My first fic, I'm so excited!
Disclaimer: Don't ask me if I own FMA, that would be a very stupid question. If I did do you think Hughes would be dead right now?
"Ed, you are going on a mission." Colonel Mustang stated simply as Ed and Al stepped into his office.
"Okay…what's it about?" Ed replied, already suspicious that it would be something pointless that would get him into trouble in the end.
"There's an Ishbalan refugee camp near Lior and there are reports flying in left and right of strange reddish and bluish glows coming from the camp at night. Plus, citizens of Lior have been dropping off the map ever since the glowing started. I want you to go check it out." Mustang explained.
"That's it? That's all I have to do?" Ed replied, still suspicious that there was some way he could mess this up that would have the Colonel rushing in to save him at the last minute and getting all the glory. Either that, or there was some catch to this that the Colonel found would be a severe punishment for him.
"Not exactly, I'd like you to meet Ana, the Rose Alchemist." The Colonel said, smiling in a cocky way as he gestured towards the now opened door to reveal a girl, maybe 25 years old, with red eyes and brown hair.
She was obviously taller than Ed, though not by much and she was wearing a very baggy military uniform, it obviously didn't fit her small frame very well. She saluted Ed and the Colonel with an automail arm and smiled warmly at Al.
"The what alchemist?" Ed asked, confused.
"The Rose Alchemist, they didn't think 'Plant Alchemist' sounded very good and since I do my best work with roses it just fit." The girl answered, laughing.
"Am I supposed to work with her?" Ed asked, already hating this new alchemist.
That's when something hit him. She was a bio alchemist, in a way, and she might know something about the Philosopher's Stone. He wasn't getting his hopes up yet, though. He also wondered how she had gotten an automail arm but he wouldn't be rude and ask her right away.
Okay, so, short chapter. Just a sort of introduction…let you know what's happening. This won't be a very long story, maybe four chapters. Read and review, please. Praise welcomed, constructive criticism accepted, flames ignored.
