Alec jumped and hid his face behind his knees as the red-faced demon-thing popped up behind the guy on the screen and the theater was filled with screams. Almost everyone there was curled up on their seats, as if they thought someone would grab them if they put their legs down. A group of teenage girls sitting on Alec's left shrieked and moved closer together.
Alec didn't know why he had agreed to go see this movie with Magnus, he hated scary movies. It wasn't really the monsters that scared him; he had seen worse, of course, it was the constant things surprising you that freaked him out.
"Come on, watch the movie Alec, stop closing your eyes," Magnus whispered, "This is turning out to be a waste of money." Magnus was sitting with his legs up, like everyone else, but he actually really seemed to be enjoying the movie, unlike Alec.
"Shut up," Alec muttered, before another monster popped up, causing Alec to swear like crazy and Magnus to scream like a little girl as he leaned into Alec and gripped his arm so tightly Alec thought it might fall off from lack of circulation.
(After the movie)
"That movie was terrifying!" Alec exclaimed. The two of them were walking back to Magnus's place, since it wasn't to far.
"I know right! It was awesome!"
"I never want to see another horror movie ever again," Alec stated.
"Come on Alec, you could learn to love them," Magnus replied, taking his hand.
Alec shook his head. "I highly, extremely doubt that."
"But being scared is fun!" Magnus insisted. "I find the whole adrenalin, scream your head off thing pretty cool, like going on really scary rides at fairs…Oh yeah, you don't like that either." Magus laughed, "You are pathetic, my little shadowhunter."
"I know, I know, don't rub it in," Alec joked.
(Later)
"Mag?...Magnus?...Hello?" Alec was sitting on Magnus's lap and they were watching What Not to Wear. Magnus had what Alec called "TV zombie syndrome", you know, what happens when the person is so focused on the TV that they don't hear you no matter what you do? "Magnus!" Alec yelled louder. Still no answer.
Finally, after many more attempts, Alec just decided to kiss him, finally getting his attention. "I have to leave, I have training early tomorrow morning," Alec sighed.
"No! Don't leave!" Magnus said frantically, then added in a calmer tone, "Can't you stay?"
"I have to go, sorry. I wish I could stay," Alec answered.
"No! Don't go!"
"What's the big deal?" Alec asked.
Magnus hesitated, then finally answered, " I won't be able to sleep."
"Why not?" Alec asked smiling.
"Because I can't stop thinking about that movie…"
Alec was laughing now, "Ha! I knew it scared you more then you would show!"
"Yeah whatever," Magnus said, "You're staying here whether you like it or not."
So what did you guys think? Way to short, I know but I can't think of anything else.
I was inspired to write this because I saw the movie Insidious yesterday, and I loved it while I was watching it…But …I can't stop thinking about it now. :/ I was totally freaked out last night, every tiny little noise scared me haha …I was screaming my head off, my friend even told me to stop screaming…but she had her eyes closed for most of it so she shouldn't be talking lolz. She actually had her eyes closed so long that at the end of the movie she asked me what it was about haha.
I know I should be working on my other story…but I've been very busy, as well as not really in the mood to write it…so yeah (:
Review? Please?
