Author's Note- I'm sorry this is so short! The next chapter is really long and I'm almost done with it, but I just had to post the first one a couple of days before I post the second! I promise I'll make up for the length!

"Sango."

Sango bowed.

"I have some employment for you," Naraku's slithery voice told her.

"Yes, Lord Naraku?"

"Kill Inuyasha," he said, "kill him and you will never need to work for bounty again."

"Inuyasha, my Lord?"

"Yes, kill Inuyasha."

Miroku frowned into the sunrise. A pair of birds chattered as they flew from their perch in a tree and headed West.

"West." Miroku gripped his staff and started on the path in front of him. If he was going to reach the priestess before Naraku, he was going to have to hurry.

Inuyasha clambered through the top of the well and turned around. He stuck out a clawed hand and reached for Kagome.

Sango sped through the undergrowth, not pausing to tend to any needs and ignoring her affect on the branches she broke through. She would not stop until she spied an old well with a pair of footprints leading away from it. She knew Inuyasha would be nearby, and she knew he'd be alone.

I would really appreciate reviews despite the length because I need to know if this is a clear beginning or if I should start somewhere else and lead up to this spot. Thanks bunches!
