"Eeek!" Uchiha Sasuke was startled from his reverie by the surprised squeak from the pink haired girl beside him. He turned to his former team mate to find a far too familiar looking black snake slithering up her leg. He disregarded it as yet another annoyance until he glanced up at Haruno Sakura's face and found fear there.
"What's the matter?" He questioned.
"Get it off!" She whimpered.
"Its just one of Orochimaru's old snakes. It's not going to hurt you." He exchanged a glare with the snake, which looked far too content to stay right where it was.
"One of Orochimaru's old snakes? And your telling me not to worry?!"
"It's won't hurt you." Another death glare was directed at the snake.
"Why is it here at all?!" She hissed at him.
A look of annoyance seeped across the Uchiha's features. "They follow me around." He muttered, "And they don't go away."
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I feel your pain." Sakura's voice dripped sarcasm. "Now would you please get it OFF ME?!"
"It's not poisonous." He muttered, unwilling to touch the snake, or in any way acknowledge its existence.
"I don't care." The kunochi was beginning to get mad. The snake slithered up her leg some more, its head just barely under her outer skirt."Get it off me!"
The Uchiha gave the snake another death glare and, as if noticing the boy and his death glares of doom for the first time, it slithered back down the girl's leg and proceeded to wrap itself around his arm. Indigo eyes met yellow, and Sakura could've sworn that she heard Sasuke whisper, "Your a lucky animal." She hid smile and lay down on her back. Today is a good day...
A/N:Wow... that was interesting. I was looking at fanart today for the SasuSaku pairing, and I found that quite a bit of it involved snakes. In slightly sketchy places. And so, this was born. A bit random, but I rather like the "realtionship" between Sasuke and the snake. There's something funny about him not being able to escape from that little bit of Orochimaru. I guess Itatchi didn't get rid of all the stupid, pevereted, phsyco, pedophile snake sanin as he meant to. (I don't like Orochimaru. Can you tell?) At any rate, I swear I'll keep working on Sleep Well. I'm almost done with my outline for it. Yeah, I'm only just doing that now, when I'm already into it 3 chapters. I'm going to try to update that one on Sundays, if I can. But don't count on it right now. I've got homework. Anyway, R&R and what not.
