Tealpaw blinked her eyes open as pre-dawn light spilled through the grassy, fern-covered entrance of the Apprentices Den. She stretched her limbs, grunting quietly.
The brown-and-white warrior hated getting up in morning. So did her friends-especially Canrypaw. She closed her teal eyes.
Tealpaw twitched her white-tipped ears & opened her eyes once again as she realized two cats were standing in front of her, blocking the sunlight. Sighing in relief, she noticed it was just her Best Friend, Canarypaw. "What are you-" She stopped, and emmidietly took wary notice of who was towering behind the tan-and-white Apprentice. Gulping, the she-cat stood up as a large, fluffy deep grey warrior pushed Canarypaw aside.
"Oh, hehe...it's uh, you, Wolfstrike!" She murmured nervously. Wolfstrike grunted. He was the deputy of Streamstar, EagleClan's Leader. Flicking his grey tail, he growled. "You are to wake up. EagleClan doesn't slack off." Canarypaw shot him a hostile glance for her friend as he stalked off, his tail swishing back and forth as he went. Tealpaw didnt understand why he had been so bossy and hostile ever since he had become deputy. She turned around to see two other Apprentices. It looked as if they were Sharing Tounges, than had turned their attention to Wolfstrike when he stomped in. One was Shadowpaw, a black-and-grey Apprentice with green eyes, he was the Deputys son. The other one was Deadpaw, a twin of Shadowpaw, Shadowpaw's sister, Canarypaw's and Tealpaw's Best Friend, as well the daughter of Wolfstrike. Deadpaw flicked her tail and giggled. "Well...alright-y then!" She muttered in-between chuckles. Shadowpaw shook his head, rolled his eyes, and murmured; "I'm gonna go hunt...!", leaving a chuckle floating behind him as he disappeared out of the grassy hole.
Typical Shadowpaw...Tealpaw thought, treading her paws on a lost leaf on the ground. Canarypaw rolled her blue eyes. "'l'll be happy enough to join him. Be back later!" She decided as the tan, multicolored Apprentice stepped out of the once-fox-hole. So, what do ya wannnnna do?" Tealpaw pondered to her friend. "Train, of course!" Deadpaw teased. Tealpaw held her breath. "Yea, right! Forgot. That's all." She smirked, and Deadpaw rolled her brown eyes as they left the Apprentice's Den empty.
