Blackout

The Dark Shadow sped down the road, bumping into Steven Foster, holding a sign reading "Will dub cartoons for food," sending him thru a brick wall, smashing his collarbone. He sped to the corner

of Blood and Gore, then stopped dead.

Standing there, awaiting him, was a girl.

"What is it now, Biko?" he said, as the girl brushed a strand of long hair out of her eyes, and

smiled evilly.

"I'm surprised you remember me, Shadow. After all, you ran out during our little duel ten years

ago."

"That was unavoidable, Biko. I was needed to save the world."

"And parts of New Jersey?"

"Er, yeah."

"Well, be that as it may... I'm back. And here you are. What say we finish our little duel, hmm?"

"You really are something, you know that? Ten years, and still you can't seem to get over that

crap with Nico and me. And dueling. Ever thought of getting on Utena?"

"You can't refuse this challenge, Shadow!"

At that moment, a truck rolled between the figures. In a cloud of dust, it departed, leaving a

gargantuan figure standing, one that shone brightly in the setting sun. Upright and still in it's

chrome surface, barrels sprouting out from unnatural angles, a dull hum echoed around it.

Dark Shadow rolled his eyes.

Biko waved her hand at it.

"Like it, Shadow? My latest attempt at robot armor, the Miyabi Class!"

And her diabolical laughter replaced her diabolical acting in that instant, as it echoed down the

dark, dusty streets of MontyPythonVille.

"Kill him," she screamed, and the next sound was the sinister sting of laser bolts, the charging

crack of explosions, and then silence reigned.

"Better luck next time, Biko," Dark Shadow yelled, and sped on down the road.

Biko stood, staring at the wreck that had been her powerful robot armor scant seconds ago, and

then smiled.

"I know what went wrong now! If I increase the energy out in the secondary diode, and reverse

the polarity of the neutron flow..."
