Hi! I'm Allstar-chicken-suit and this is my new story.
Warning! Kinda depressive!
Story name :- From hearts that rage
Story rating :- T
Disclaimer – I don't own anything I don't own! (no duh!)
Why?
First, it started with water and oil – a tale of Romeo and Juliet. The goddess of wisdom and god of the sea hated each other, but there children fell in love. It ended with a happily ever after, but only for them.
Soon, Heaven and Hell raged. The god of the sky and the god of the underworld, brothers fighting with passionate anger... or perhaps brotherly love. There children fell, and as much as there parents tried to catch them, they couldn't.
The list continues, from fire and ice, to the dove and the eagle. Everyone began to recognise the pattern.
Except him.
Why should everyone else's Cinderella story work, but not mine? Why should they have there prince charming, but not me? Why should they have love to spare, a gift that they don't appreciate? Why?
There was a time when he was almost mine, but that slipped away with the sands of time. Hatred to love. Love to hatred. But now we started the cycle again. Arguments with no apology. We rip it each other apart, then sew each other up again with no-one noticing.
He kissed me once, just as a dare, but for a moment, it all made sense. Why I always felt guilty for hurting him just a fraction of how he hurts me everyday. Why I looked back at the pictures of us smiling and laughing together. Why those memories filled me with joy.
He kissed me again the next day, in the fields were my cabin worked. But my happiness was short lived – hours later, I found out he was dating a daughter of the love goddess.
My heart broke inside me, but he wouldn't reply the questions I longed for an answer to. He just sat, and waited for me to move on. Perhaps he was lost in thoughts of regret for leading my heart to something that could never be.
I remember the words I'd spoken, the questions I'd asked, the wars that had raged. Are you and me still together? Do you think we could last forever? Tell me! Why? But this is a one-sided story. It could never work. Never be. Not in his mind. I'm never in his dreams, but he's always in mine.
So, if there was Heaven and Hell, Water and Oil, Fire and Ice, the Dove and the Eagle, then why not Thieves and Trees?
Tell me!
Why?
"Hey Katie, what's up?" Questioned Travis with worry in voice and face. He sat down beside her and studied her carefully.
The way her soft hands were so kissed by the sun from spending hours on end in the fields.
The way her hair fell down to her waist in frizzy, brown ringlets.
The way she hid the caring in her grass-green eyes behind hatred.
The way... this list could continue forever and longer.
"Nothing." Katie mumbled, standing up and walking away. Her goodbye was lost in the breeze, at least Travis hoped so.
She could never love a lazy, disobedient thief like Travis.
Just as he could never love an ugly, over-protective tree-huger like Katie.
Hope you like! Please R&R :)
