Chapter One:
Prologue

"Alice!"
I heard my name called out in the distance. I stood still. The white rabbit just looked up at me. He twitched his nose and my name was called again.
"See you next time." He told me quietly.
"Alice!"
I looked up at the sky. "I can't stay much longer."
He nodded. "I know." He took out one of his many pocket watches he kept with him and showed it to me. 10 more seconds… "10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2…"
"One." I whispered.
"ALICE!"
I opened my eyes. I looked around and I was sitting under an oak tree in the small meadow behind our house once more. Mary, my older sister, was shaking me. She gasped.
"Thank GOD! Don't do that Alice! You scared the crap out of me!" She let out a sigh. "Always drifting off…what do you dream about anyways?" I looked at her, dazed. I averted my eyes and set my gaze to the sky.
"Dreams?" I stood up and brushed the back of my skirt off, giving a weak laugh. "More like nightmares."
"What kind of nightmares?" She asked, looking at me with curiosity. I just smiled. She was so clueless.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Wonderland is a world of dreams. It decides when you sleep and when you wake up. I headed back to the house, looking back. No green apples. Mary kept her eyes on me. And if you get trapped. Some people don't wake up.
