Prologue:

Sirens began to go off, armed soldiers quickly assumed their positions and the iris slid into place, as the Stargate began to come to life.

"Unscheduled off world activation," announced Sergeant Walter Harriman over the P.A. system as he quickly looked over the monitors before him.

"Any identification?" Asked General Hammond as he entered the control room.

"Negative…wait receiving IDC confirmation code…confirmed its SG-1 sir."

"Open the iris Sergeant."

"Yes sir!" Quickly imputing the iris code, Harriman nodded to his superior as the iris slid open. A few seconds later he watched as SG-1, minus Major Carter, stepped out of the event horizon and walked down the ramp. Colonel Jack O'Neill seemed to be extremely pleased with himself, despite the missing Maj. Carter, even Teal'c appeared to amused. However, Daniel Jackson appeared to be, to put it mildly, extremely pissed off.

Leaning forward towards the microphone, Hammond addressed the returning team. "Welcome back SG-1. But Colonel, where's Major Carter?"

"Carter, oh we left her back on the planet, she's in science geek heaven with her new best friend. I don't think we would have been able to drag her away to tell you the truth sir." Replied Jack as he handed off his equipment to a nearby airman.

"I take it then, that you found something worth while on P3X-189."

Grinning Jack looked up at the control room, "You betcha, we managed to get a real bargain this time sir."

At his words, Daniel turned, glared at Jack, and exclaimed, " Bargain…bargain, is that what you call it? Jack you sold me!"

Teal'c looked on in amusement as Jack turned to look at Daniel.

"Hey, I didn't sell you," replied Jack trying to look hurt, but failing miserably, "if anything I'm loaning you out for a bit. You know you should really thank me for arranging to get you out of that stuffy office of yours!"

Sputtering Daniel could only stare and utter "Wha…wha."

"Ahem," interrupted Hammond, "if we could continue this in the briefing room, I get the feeling this could be a long and interesting story."

"Yes sir!" Replied Jack, turning back to his team he gestured for them to follow him, "Alright campers, you heard the man, lets go!"

Briefing Room.

"Now Colonel what's this about you selling Doctor Jackson?" Hammond asked after they had all seated themselves in the briefing room.

Jack O'Neill had the good grace to look sheepish as he admitted, "I didn't exactly sell him, and I'm just loaning him out for a day or so sir."

Hammond nodded as he prodded O'Neill to continue, "I see, and exactly who are we lending him out to?"

"Well sir, her name is Vala Mal Doran."
