Gordon was in darkness, a very familiar darkness. He looked around to find only blackness, until a door opened, slow and glowing with a white light. From the light stepped the man in the blue suit, till carrying that strange briefcase. He glanced at Gordon with piercing pale green eyes.

"It's, been awhile. Hasn't it, Misster Freeman?" the 'G-Man', as Gordon had taken to calling him, said, something was off though. "I've, called you here oover, something of"

A girl, about six, suddenly cut G-Man off as she bounded out from another door, followed closely by a, strangely tame, houndeye. The girl skidded to a stop, twirling with an almost insane grin. Her black hair flew around her, she was wearing a bright green dress that contrasted her pale green eyes. "Dad, I was looking for you! I was told you had something personal to attend to, but then I felt you in the void! So why are you here?! Did you have to talk to one of you-" The hyperactive child stopped and looked at Gordon with wide eyes.

"Little one, I was trying to say som-" the G-Man once again was cut off by his daughter, who turned to him with an annoyed look. Freeman took a small step back.

"You could have told me that you were the one that employed THE Gordon Freeman!" The girl yelled with wide, angry, eyes. She proceeded to hit her father on the head with a wrench from… somewhere.

"Yes, I know, but I'm really busy rright no-" the girl cut him off again, this time by turning directly to Gordon and pulling out, what looked like, a green replica of his crowbar from seemingly nowhere. She flipped the crowbar on its side and produced a black sharpie from the, likely, same place.

"Can you sign my crowbar Mr. Freeman?!" the girl asked.

What harm could it do? Gordon thought as he shrugged and took the sharpie, signing his name on the side of the crowbar.

"Thank you, oh this makes me so happy!" she said excitedly, turning to G-Man again.

"You, should go back, Trinity. I have ssome, important... subjects to talk about with Misster Freeman." G-Man said, sounding like he was straining not to yell.

"Oh! Were about about to tell him about that really cool portal device on the Borealis, or the time machine on board, or the anti-matter cannon?!" Trinity asked with excitement, a mischievous glint in her eyes and an angel halo that had appeared out of nowhere.

"*growling* Trinity! We're not supposed to talk about that stuff!" he sighed "Just… go back to your room, I'll be there shortly." G-Man said, Trinity just nodded and bounded out the way she came, singing a strange song in some alien tongue as she did. Strangely, the houndeye seemed to sing along with her.

Without another word, G-Man disappeared and gordon suddenly realized what was off. G-Man had sounded like his sister when her daughter was at that age. The world returned to darkness then.

A/N: First off, this was just out of boredom. I had this crazy idea about G-man having a daughter that interrupted him while he was talking and the idea wouldn't stop bugging me. Anyway, if anything, hope this gave you all a few ideas. Saddly, no, this isn't an indication that I'll start writing Half-Life fanfictions, yet. I most likely will at some point. Obviously, this isn't Spyro related for those following "Atonement", but I swear I'm still working on it.
