A/N
This is the first Fanfiction story I have written so far, so please bear with me, and be sure to leave some comments! This will be the tale of the siege of Arendelle, set 5 years after the movie ends.
I am sorry about the shortness of the first chapter, and I promise more is on the way! Just establishing an introduction is all :D
Enjoy!
Chapter One
The scout lurked quietly near the tree line, taking in the view. The kingdom of Arendelle was a beautiful sight to see, especially in the early summer. Flowers bloomed and trees boasted of green leaves. The port, usually busy in the rush to unload and sell countless shipments of spices, wines, and clothes, was unusually empty. The reason for such a disturbance soon became clear: as the scout drew closer to the town, he saw bakers scurrying about like mice, building a massive chocolate cake, layer by layer. He saw women in nice dresses and men in nice suits, making their way to the palace gates. Obviously there was to be a festival, perhaps a ball later in the evening. It would be a happy occasion with dancing and merry-making. It would be a time of love and of joy. It would be the perfect time to collect information.
Confident that he would go unnoticed in the chaos, the scout made his way to a market vender to buy a nice, modest suit, not going overboard but not underdressing, matching the majority of the commoners in style. At the best price (the hidden knife helped the vender sway in his bargaining), he now fit in perfectly. Taking on the alias of James from the isle of York, the scout arrived at the gates just as they were opening, along with the entire kingdom. Around him he heard an exchange of a couple officers-of-the-guard concerning a post that had recently been abandoned by her majesty under the assumption that the rebels in the northern mountain had indeed disbanded. Interesting. There were those inside the kingdom, it seemed, that did NOT like to be ruled by a monster as well. Good.
All the better for Weselton to take over.
