Bobby hurried down the hospital hallway, towards the room number he had been given. It was only thanks to the Sheriff that he knew his boys were here, so obviously they weren't going to contact him to worry him.

Screw that. He worried about his boys all the time.

If the first words out of either mouth began with "we didn't want to worry you", then dammit, he was going to freaking kill both of them when they got out the hospital.

Which they would. Of course.

He swore under his breath as he reached the room number he had been given, and despite the half formed threats in his mind, he was seriously worried. To make the Winchesters admit they needed a hospital meant you either had to knock one of them out or give them a practically fatal wound.

Don't get him wrong; both boys were excellent in patching each other up, but hiding injuries from each other was also a favourite hobby of theirs.

Screw that too. Damn stubborn Winchesters.

Bobby took a deep breath and opened the door to the room, steeling himself. He was met with a site nowhere near as bad as he was picturing. Sam was sleeping on a bed, the covers half on him, with a couple of drips in his arm, by the look of it – including blood. That'd be it then.

Dean glanced up from a magazine he was reading, looking mildly surprised to see Bobby there, but wisely didn't question it. He was sitting on a chair right beside his brother, and had his feet casually resting on the end of Sam's bed.

"Hey, Bobby," Dean greeted him, deciding from the expression on the elder hunter's face that he just shouldn't ask, but maybe he should answer.

"Any of you wanna give me a reason why you're here before I give you a real reason to be in here?"

A huff came from the bed. "Have you considered the fact that my brother's an idiot, perhaps?"

A glance from the chair to the bed. "Have you considered that letting vampire bats drink your blood is a bit of a stupid thing to do, Sammy?"

Sam groaned. "Bitch."

"Jerk."

Bobby rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath about damn stubborn Winchesters, alright. But inside, he felt only relief.
