Happy Endings?
"Sasuke we did it!" he turned his head toward her wincing slightly at the effort. Black stones met blue crystals and he smiled. "Ya I guess we did." he replied. Painfully she crawled over to where he laid, resting her head on his shoulder. "So…is this it then?" she asked. The rest had already left them. Their home had been destroyed. They had finally won but at what price? There was nothing left fore them. Not in this world at least. He brought his arms around her bringing them closer. "I guess it is."
"It doesn't seem like the happy endings you reed in a book dose it? I mean the bad guys are dead but there's no 'they lived happily ever after' is there? There is always supposed to be a happy endi..." he chuckled "even while were dying, all you can do is talk." She smiled "and you have to be a stick in the mud"
He Kissed her. "I'm sorry." "Four what?" she asked. "Four not doing that sooner, for wasting all those years, for…" "Just shut up and kiss me." she said as their lips met again. "I Love you" "I know. I Love you too. That's why I never gave up. Trying to get you back all those years… agh" she whimpered as the wound in her side sent shocks of pain thou her body. "I guess we don't have much time left do we?" He said. "Guess not" she agreed, "in a way this is a happy ending" he raised an eyebrow. "I mean we both got what we wanted. You finally killed Itachi and I got what I've always wanted" "How? I thought you wanted to become Hokage" "No. Love, I always wanted someone to love, some one who loves me that's all I truly wanted. So you see this really is a happy ending." she replied closing her eyes
"Always trying to look at the good side of things aren't you?" no replied answered his question. "Naru?" he looked at her face only to realize she was already gone. A tear fell down his face landing on her cheek. "Happy endings hu?" he kissed her one last time before following her to that place, where they would have their happy ending.
