For some reason, this has taken my head. That reason may have something to do with the 'To Fang, With Love' letters on the official Maximum Ride website that someone has been writing in their blog, but sometimes my imagination is odd. Though I'm pretty sure it was the blog letters.
So anyway, this is an alternate universe of a sequel to a story I'm writing right now. Confusing, but whatever.
Disclaimer: Story idea probably came from Zikkie on Max-Dan-Wiz. I do not own Naruto, I do own Sam and 'Spots'.
Spoiler Alert: This story contains spoilers. A LOT of spoilers. It spoils everything to the end of Rin Hiragana: The Winter Ninja to possibly the setting of Red Clouds of Winter. If you do not like spoilers at all, it is suggested that you leave.

Ever since Rin had left, Sam had lived in her house. After all, it was empty, and if Rin ever came back...

Sam sighed. There was no way Rin was coming back. Not after the stunt of almost causing the next Ice Age, even with Itachi there.

Team 5,611 was officially done. Their sensei was a faker, Rin was classified as a traitor, and Sam was the only one left.

The sound of something landing broke Sam out of her thoughts. The ninja turned her head to the source to find the source of the noice: A messenger bird.

"A message...?" Sam asked herself out loud. She walked over to the messenger bird and took the message.

Sam
It's been awhile since I last saw you. I hope all is well with you.
Oddly, I'm no longer in the same location. I decided to leave. I just hope HE is okay.
How's living in the house of a traitor going for you?
Sincerely, Spots

Sam scowled as she reread the message. Then she turned the letter over and scribbled out a reply.

Spots
I've never met anyone named Spots.
Who's 'HE'?
Rin's no traitor, the whole situation was a misunderstanding.
WHO ARE YOU?
-Sam

Sam rolled up the piece of paper and gave it to the messenger bird*. "Take this back to the sender."

The messenger bird cooed and flew off. After it was out of her line of sight, Sam turned around and shook her head.

Who is this 'Spots', and why is he or she trying to antagonize me?

All in good time, Sam. All in good time.

I won't be surprised if the identity of Spots is quickly found out.
* You know that thing they put the messages in? She put it in there. I'm just not sure what it's called. I'll probably end up calling it a carrying pouch, even though it doesn't resemble a pouch.

This ought to be interesting...
