My Shiny Sharp Blade
As I stand here, I'm amazed of what I see.
I see my reflection and now I see the real me.
I see what I've turned to and what I've become.
I glanced into mirror and begin to cry.
So I slowly put my hand out and see my wrist.
Then I see my hand clutch into a fist.
Suddenly, I feel a sting,
That made me shout and scream.
Then I see blood rushing out.
It hurts so bad, it hurts so much.
But it's okay, because it took the pain away.
I see blood on the floor, blood on my hand, and blood on the blade.
Now I see what I have done.
And what I have made.
It seemed like the right thing to do.
Because I wanted to get over everything
And finally get through.
I wanted it all to end.
Then suddenly, I hear footsteps coming my way.
So I slowly wiped my tears and cleared my eyes.
I washed the blood of my hand
And hid the shiny, sharp, metal thing away.
Then I hid my hand behind my back,
And pretended everything was okay.
