Flipping her book shut Sayori sighed.
'Finally done with that.' thought Sayori, tossing her book onto the floor, wincing when it made a loud noise.
She looked over at Yuuki who was fast asleep. Sayori got up off her bed and touched her hand to Yuuki's forehead, frowning when she found that Yuuki was running a fever. Sayori walked into their bathroom and grabbed Yuuki's wash rag, running it under cool water. She walked back into the room and laid the rag on Yuuki's forehead.
'Who should I call… The headmaster or Kaname?' thought Sayori, picking up the phone. 'I'll call the headmaster. Then Kaname.'
Sayori dialed the headmaster's office.
"Ne? Headmaster Cross? It's Sayori. Yuuki is running a fever, I thought I'd let you know." said Sayori into the receiver. "Yes, I'll stay with her until you get here. Have I told Kaname? No, but he's bound to show up any moment now."
When Sayori got off the phone, the door swung open and Kaname stepped through.
"Haha… Wow." murmured Sayori, seeing Kaname. "Who knew?"
Kaname sat down on the bed next to Yuuki, pulling Yuuki onto his lap.
"How long has she had the fever?" asked Kaname pressing his cheek to Yuuki's forehead.
"I just checked her for it, so I'm guessing about five minutes." said Sayori. "The headmaster is on his way."
"That's good." said Kaname, rubbing Yuuki's back.
Sayori grabbed a waste bin and sat it by the bed. Kaname winced when Yuuki began to her stomach contents in to it.
"Yuuki-chan!" said the headmaster as he entered the room.
"She's fine, Cross." said Yagari, as he came in behind the headmaster. "Kaname and Sayori have her."
"She's my adopted daughter I'm allowed to worry about her, Yagari." said the headmaster, walking over to the bed and tugged the blanket off Yuuki. "Sayori we need to get her into cooler clothing. We'll step out while you do that."
The three men left the room and Sayori changed Yuuki into a tank top and shorts. Sayori called them back in when she finished.
"Sayori can you and Kaname go to the pharmacy and get Yuuki some medicine?" asked the headmaster.
"Yeah, but why are you sending Kaname with me? I can go by myself," said Sayori as she slipped on shoes and pulled on a jacket.
"Well there's some bad people who are kidnapping young women at night. They escaped from prison a couple days ago." said the headmaster glancing momentarily at Yagari.
"Okay…" said Sayori before leaving the room with Kaname trailing behind her.
When they reached the gate of the school Sayori said, "I don't believe what he said."
"Why not?" asked Kaname.
"I'm not stupid. There haven't been any break outs." said Sayori. "Yuuki told me what has been going on."
"So you know all about vampires?" asked Kaname.
"Yeah. I know that the Night class are all vampires. The headmaster knows that I know. He gave Yuuki permission to tell me." said Sayori, resting her hands on the back of her head.
"Hm… Sayori… I was wondering.." said Kaname, hesitantly. "Would you go out with me sometime?"
"No. I don't date people from the Night class." said Sayori.
Yes I realize I made Sayori seem like a bitch. I did mean to do that and I know it's OOC. But, to me, it seems like she is one in the manga and anime by how she acts.
