"It's the last straw," Hermione screamed.
"I'm sorry!" I pleaded.
"Well you know what? Sorry isn't enough this time!"
It's never enough to say I'm sorry.
It's never enough to say I care.
"How could you kiss her Fred? How!"
"I wasn't thinking," I mumbled. "You wanted a break! You shouldn't blame this on me!"
"I meant a break for the evening! Not a break from our relationship!" The girl screamed in fury.
But I'm caught between what you wanted from me, and knowing if I give that to you I might just disappear.
"What do you want from me? I can't win this!"
Nobody wins when everyone's losing.
"Damn right you can't win! We are OVER!" and she stormed out of the commonroom.
"Hermione, wait!" I called. "I wanted to go the next step in our relationship!" Saying this on pure desperation, I asked, "Will you marry me?"
It's like one step forward, and two steps back.
No matter what I do you're always mad.
And I can't change your mind.
"How dare you?" she said, voice angrily low.
"How dare I what? Ask the woman I love to marry me? Is that so stupid?"
"I will NEVER marry a cheater." She said simply.
It's like trying to turn around in a one-way street,
I can't give you what you want and it's killing me.
And I, I'm starting to see maybe we're not meant to be…
"I guess we're not meant to be," and turned away from me and left.
I knew we would never last. Even after the "I love you's" and the caring.
It's never enough to say, "I love you".
It's never enough to say, "I'll try".
At least I'll always have a brother to be there for me in my time of need.
I ran back up to the common room to seek his support.
Nobody wins when everyone's loosing.
