" Get Over It"
Garnet and Onyx transported back to the house only to find Steven and Amethyst breaking furniture, and causing a commotion. Pearl was chasing them, and telling them to stop, but it was obvious that wasn't going to work.
" Hey!" Garnet screamed to get everyone's attention. They all froze and blushed embarrassed that they were caught.
Onyx crossed his arms " What happened here?" he said with an annoyed look on his face. Pearl was now blushing more with the look of disappointment she saw on Onyx face.
" Clean this place up!" Garnet said firmly to Steven and Amethyst as Pearl had already started. The others tried to clean, but they were to used to Pearl doing everything. Onyx even helped fix the furniture and pick up the mess the two had made. .
" Seriously though? What happened?" he asked. Pearl shrugged as she knew about as much as he and Garnet knew. He shrugged his shoulders.
" I guess it doesn't matter." he said in a dull tone continuing to pick up the mess. Once they had it cleaned up Onyx just sighed in relief.
" Well at least it's clean again." Pearl said in a crazed voice.
Onyx laughed " Pearl sometimes you're just strange." saying it in a joke form.
" Strange? What do you mean?" she said in a nervous tone.
" Nothing." he took her hands, and hugged her " I missed you." he said as he teased her Garnet and Onyx were gone for most of the day although it didn't feel like it to him. Every moment away from his new home was agonizing especially when he knew Pearl was home and he wasn't.
Pearl was blushing " Onyx!" she giggled " No, not in front of Steven!" she started laughing " It's embarrassing!"
Onyx laughed and ended the embrace " Awe okay." he said childishly.
As the embrace ended Pearl punched him in the arm, and she was blushing like crazy.
" Stop teasing me!" she exclaimed with an embarrassed tone.
"Alright!" Onyx said " I'll give you your space." he said heading outside. Pearl still blushing opened the doors to her room and went in. Steven followed Onyx outside.
" So what was that about?" Steven asked.
" Steven? I know you knew what that was." Onyx said.
" Actually no I can't say I do." Steven said in a childish tone.
Onyx sighs" You know how you really like that Connie girl you hang out with?"
Steven looked embarrassed" What! How do you know about that? Who told you?" he said with cracking voice.
Onyx chuckles " Steven it's kind of obvious. I see you two hang out all the time."
Steven realized Onyx was in a really joke like mood, and he wasn't like that often unless with Pearl so he asked. " Are you okay? What happened?" Steven saw that he was trying to forget something.
Onyx's face went from cheerful to depressed in an instant " Is it really that obvious?"
Steven shrugged " No. I just know what your going through. Being different is kind of my thing."
Onyx smirked " Yeah. I guess your right. But, don't worry I'll be fine."
Steven didn't gloat on the subject any longer, and decide to give Onyx his space. Steven went inside, and once Onyx knew he was gone he started to tear up. Onyx wiped his eyes and put up his hood.
The same question kept coming back " Am I a mistake?" it was like a broken record in his head. He clenched his fist and muttered to himself. " Why can't I be normal?" his hands started to tremble. He looked at the water going in, and out on the shore line and a new question arose.
" Why? Why am I complaining?" He roles up his sleeve and looks at his deformed arm.
He chuckled at himself, and at the pain he was feeling.
" God I'm such a baby." he roles down the sleeve, and takes off the hood.
" Who cares if I'm different? I have a family now." he looked at the arm once more, and then the moon remembering the moments he's had with the gems.
" Onyx just get over it." he says to himself as he walks in and retires for the night.
