A/N: This is my very first challenge response! Yay me.
Summary: Brooke is saying goodbye.
Brooke is tired. She's tired of fighting. She's tired of hiding. She's tired of trying desperately to be something she's not to hang on to something she doesn't even really want. After spending one too many nights lying awake, feet itching to take her into the next room, she's giving it. She's saying goodbye to everything she's ever known, everything that's made her feel secure. She's walking into dangerously uncharted territory. The thought makes her feel electric, she can feel excitement trickling through her veins and wonders why it's taken her this long. She's saying goodbye to Popularity and to friends who would sell her on the black market in exchange for it.
"Sam?" A breath in the otherwise silent, moonlit room.
"Brooke, what are you-?" Brooke is saying goodbye to rational thought as she stoops and her fingers press against lips she's dreamt about more times than she can count. She replaces them with her lips seconds later.
Brooke McQueen is saying goodbye to everything she's ever know. And saying hello to the one person she can't stop herself from wanting.
