This was it. Today was the day. The biggest day of my life.
That's right. Today was the day I married Uchiha Sasuke.
I was almost ready. I had on a gorgeous white dress that made me feel like a princess. My hair was down, curled, and my makeup was perfect. My shoes were gorgeous sparkling white stilettos, and my engagement ring sparkled on my right hand instead of my left.
Tsunade came in. "Almost ready?"
"Almost," I replied, grinning.
"Listen, your ring is something old, since it was Sasuke's mother's. Your dress is something new. I want to lend you these diamond earrings, if you'll accept them, for your something borrowed."
"Oh, shishou, thank you! They're beautiful!"
"Put them on!" she said, smiling and holding them out to me.
I took them and put them through the holes in my ears. They were amazing.
"Do you have something blue?"
I lifted up my dress and said, "My garter."
"Well then, you're all set, aren't you?"
I nodded and she hugged me carefully. She placed the veil in my hair. "Ready?"
"Yeah."
We went out to the park and I heard the music start up. The bridesmaids and groomsmen filed in and it was time for me to go. Kakashi took my arm and handed me my bouquet. We slowly strode up the aisle. Everyone stood up and I was concentrated on my fiancé, standing there in front of our favorite sakura tree. He was so handsome.
When he saw me, he lit up and smiled. "You look beautiful," he mouthed.
I grinned at him and mouthed, "I love you."
"I love you, too," he mouthed back.
We got to the altar and my father let go of me and Ino took my bouquet as Sasuke took my hands.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the joining of two souls in the holy sacrament of marriage. Who gives this woman to be married?"
"I do," Kakashi said.
The priest turned to Sasuke and said, "Do you, Uchiha Sasuke, take Haruno Sakura to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, as long as you both shall live?"
"I do."
He turned to me. "Do you, Haruno Sakura, take Uchiha Sasuke to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, as long as you both shall live?"
"I do."
"Who has the rings?"
Naruto handed them to us. "Sasuke, place the ring on her finger and say, 'With this ring, I thee wed'," the priest said.
He slid the gorgeous diamond ring on the third finger of my left hand. "With this ring, I thee wed."
"Sakura, place the ring on his finger and say, 'With this ring, I thee wed'."
I slipped the gold band on his finger and said, "With this ring, I thee wed."
"Is there any reason why these two should not be joined in holy matrimony? Speak now or forever hold your peace."
I prayed that Lee would keep his mouth shut.
He did.
"With the power vested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss your bride."
Sasuke gingerly lifted my veil and flipped it back. He was smiling. He slid his arms around my waist and I wrapped my own arms around his neck. He pulled me close and pressed his lips to mine. After a few seconds, we pulled apart and I jumped up, hanging on to his neck. He lifted me off the ground and spun me around. "I love you," he whispered. "Mrs. Uchiha."
I grinned. "I love you, too."
He set me down and Ino handed me my bouquet. He laced his fingers through mine and we processed out.
Today was the start of a new life with the man of my dreams, and I wanted nothing more than to kiss him right then and there. So I did.
