A.n. Not quite a fix it. The end scene of Season Two episode One Plus added bonus scene. What would have been said and happened if Jack and Owen had arrived about two seconds later than they did? Gwack, In Gwen's point of View. Enjoy!

I turned at the last second to face my teammates, the people who had become my family. I continued to push him towards the place where the rift would open. I looked at Tosh.
"Tell him.. Tell Jack I love him." I requested and Tosh nodded opening her mouth to speak but was cut off by Jack and Owen's arrival. They tackled him quickly and Tosh's reply was never heard.

I was leaning against Jack's desk with my back to the door. I was listening to a message Rhys had left me on my phone. He was telling me he couldn't take it anymore, that he wasn't going to be there when I got home. I sniffled lightly as the message ended.
"Well hello Miss Cooper." Jack announced and I dropped my phone in shock as I spun around. Jack smiled but it disappeared when I reached up to wipe the remaining tears away. He walked over to me. I looked at the floor but Jack put his hand under my chin and made me look at him.
"What's wrong?" He asked. I smiled gently at his concern.
"Rhys is gone. He left me a message saying that he was leaving. He's moving to London and he doesn't want to see me anymore." I replied.
"I'm sorry." Jack whispered.
"I already gave him back the ring yesterday. He said he couldn't do it anymore." I explained. Jack sighed and pulled me in against him for a hug. We stood there silently before Jack pulled away and looked at me with a slightly amused expression on his face.
"Tosh told me you wanted to tell me something." He said and I gasped and yanked myself out of his hands. I spun around and covered my face to hide my blush from Jack. I didn't think Tosh would tell him after I hadn't gone into the rift.
"Oh God." I said. I heard Jack start to laugh lightly as if I was being ridiculous. He reached over and grasped my shoulders to turn me around.
"You didn't think Tosh would tell me." He stated and shook his head. "Why wouldn't she?" I still had my hands clapped over my face so Jack didn't hear my reply. I saw Jack shake his head gently.
"I love you too Gwen Cooper." He announced and I let my hands fall away from my face in shock.
"What?" I sputtered and Jack smiled.
"I love you Gwen. I always have." He repeated.
"Jack I ... I don't believe this." I said. He inched his face closer to mine. I could feel his warm breath fanning my face.
"Believe it." He assured me before pulling me in for a kiss that I happily deepened.
