Hiya~ Just a one-shot dribble I did, on Gaiaonline. It is kinda off 'The Mad Hatter' terms, being that there is another OC, 13. She's not mine. She belongs to Twisted_Trans-Sister. Enjoy, for what it's worth.

There was a full moon.

It was one of those rare nights that the dust actually cleared from the sky, showing nothing but the moon and countless stars.

703 loved those nights.

She sat on the balcony of the so called 'home' she and her overly-superstitious friend, 13, stayed at. No place was truly home in this desolate wasteland, but 703 has to admit; living anywhere was better than living in a cave in the desert.

703 ogled at the moon for what seemed like an eternity. She loved how mystique the moon seemed to been in these nights, and how the stars seemed to dance in the sky. She could spend every night like this if it where possible. It especially reminded her when-

"703?"

703 twirled her head and smirked as her optics laid upon the faint visage of 13, rubbing her optics and peeking behind the curtain. "What are ya…" Her voice trailed off when she caught 703's light expression.

Well, this was a first.

703 only smiled and pointed to an open spot next to her. "Come. Sit. Enjoy this beautiful night we have." She said weakly.

13 looked at the spot and ultimately took it, looking at 703 the entire time. As 703 looked at and admired the moon, 13 could only stare at the ragged haired stitchpunk. Usually she would be chuckling and grinning the whole time while explaining the 'flaws of this mad world', as she puts it. But no. She's just sitting there, smiling, looking at the moon.

It honestly scared her.

"703?" She asked weakly.

703 turned her head slightly and smiled, "Yes?" She said, urging her to continue.

"Ummm, your not gonna… Kill me, are you?" She asked, clutching the four leaf clover she carried around.

703 laughed. But, it wasn't the crow like chuckle, nor the witch-like battle laugh. It was an honest one. A kind one. That scared 13 even more.

"No, of course not." She finally said. 13 eased a bit, but she still was confused.

"Then why are you so… Umm…" She tried to get the words out of her mouth but 703 interrupted her.

"Night's like these remind me of the night I was found." She said rather smoothly.

13 tilted her head and looked up at he sky, for the first time actually admiring it. "What?" She asked.

703 looked at 13 and smiled, holding up two fingers. 13 looked back down at her. "Two found me on a night like this." She said, then looked back at the moon, "I was trapped, under the hand of a dead human female. I was screaming for someone, anyone, to help me. I was screaming for what seemed like days. Then I saw Two…" Her voice trailed a bit, then continued, "He looked at me and said, 'Everything will be okay…' Eventually he and… I think Five? I'm not sure anymore. They got the hand off of me, and Two carried me to the Sanctuary." She smiled, and chuckled a bit. "I owe him a lot…" She finished.

13 looked down for a bit before answering, "If you're so grateful to him…" 13 started and 703 looked at her. "Then why did you leave?"

703 thought about that for a bit then, grinned.

Great. Here it comes.

"Well! that's enough for tonight!" 703 announced as she jumped off the balcony.

"W-wait!" 13 yelled as 703 was about to go inside, "You didn't answer me!"

703 turned around and chuckled, "Some things are just better left unanswered. If there are no mysteries left, then what'll happen to stitchies like us?" She roared as she walked back inside.

13 only stared at the curtain for a bit before looking back at the moon. For the first time tonight, she smiled, before jumping off the balcony and walking on inside.
