Trade with Bonka-chan

"There is no way you are possibly related to Queen Aleena." She said dryly, uncrossing her arms to point an accusing finger.

He flashed her a grin full of little white rodent teeth in a way that strangely brought up the un-lady-like urge to hit the semi-short male. Short in comparison to other males that is. He was five foot flat, and only and inch or two taller then her...at least with out the quills.

"Why? Is it the fur?" He asked stretching out his arms and legs, looking down at his blue and apricot colors.

"Partly." She admitted giving him an once over. "Did you dye yourself?"

"Hey!" he protested, "I'll have you know I am a natural blue! I got it from my father."

"And you're mother is lavender."

"And my brother is green and my sister is cherry."

"...and you are blue." She said.

"...what?" He tilled his ears forwards, then angled one to the side. His expression lost that cocky tilt and seemed more open...and honestly he did look rather cute as he started to frown, "What's wrong with blue? Color morph genes runs in both sides of my family!"

He turned indigent, ears starting to pin back.

It was remarkable how expressive he was, and not just with his ears, though they were a big part of it. Like right now one was up partly and the other pressed flat and he was giving her a baffled look.

"Err...Sally?" he asked.

Princes Sally realized she had been staring and her own ears tipped back in mild embarrassment. She turned away from the hedgehog and her tail twitched. Sally focused on the downward slope of the small hill they were on. Her eyes strayed to the smoke in the distance that marked her once convoy. Attacked by Robotnik and saved but what had seemed a mutant hedgehog.

Who was blue.

And claiming to be one of the lost hedgehog princes.

And who was blue.

"You are blue!"

Sonic flattened his ears to either side and gave Sally a strange, baffled look as he watched the Acorn princes spin around and practically prance off down the hill. It was a long few moments before the preverbal light bulb hanging over his head was turned on. Probably by that benevolent guardian spirit that always made sure Sonic had just that much more luck and made it so the chilly-dog stand was open five minutes after closing time.

How Sonic loved chilly dogs!

Wait, that was supposed to be the guardian spirit wasn't it?

As the previously mentioned benevolent guardian spirit was smacking his or her face in the back ground unseen. Wondering why on Chaos name it had either loved Sonic so much, or how it got stuck with him in the first place.

Sonic however laughed, showing off his teeth again in a sly smirk, his expression becoming one that could only be described as 'snarky.'

"That's it!" The lost price pointed down at the chipmunk Anthro, "You like your men being blue furred!"

Sally halted. For a number of reasons really. One was obviously for the fact that Sonic has said that. The second being that no one had ever dared to say anything like that to her in her entire life!

Suddenly, she understood something her mother once told her about moments in time. That some moments could change your life.

Putting a slim hand on her hip, Sally turned partly, not stopping as she did so, and gave a small smirk of her own. "Is that so?"

"Well why not? You know you want some of this hedgehog good-ness."

"Riiiiiiiight..."
