I love him, I love him so much, and words can't even express my love for this man. I look at him, sleeping peacefully, like there is nothing wrong in the world. If only that were true. There are so many secrets he doesn't know. I should tell him, I really should, but it would hurt him too much.
All I can think about is the day of the lockdown, and how scared we both were. How that kiss summed up everything I've been feeling for the past two years. Ironic how something so horrible has such an amazing outcome.
It's been months since the lockdown, and we are even more inseparable. I love this. I love holding him while he sleeps, just watching. He starts to stir.
"Hi." He says, looking up at me.
"Hi."
"How long have you been awake?"
"Not long."
"Well, what have you been doing?"
"Watching you."
He leans up and kisses me. I love this. This is what it all means to me. Little things like this, like waking next to the person you love. I love him.
"Do we have to go to work?"
"Yes, Carter, we do."
"Can't we just call in sick and stay in bed forever?"
"No, sorry Carter, but I'm not exactly rolling in money, like other people I know."
"Ha. Ha. Shutup." He says as he hits me with a pillow.
"Oh, now you're going to get it!" I say while standing on the bed now, pillow in my hand, ready to strike.
"I'm scared."
"You should be!" Finally when the pillow makes contact with his head, he takes a pillow and hits me behind my knees so I fall.
"Cheap shot."
"Hey, you were standing on the bed!"
"God, I love you."
I kiss him, passionately, and without him seeing my hand raise with a pillow in it.I pull away, and hit him in the face with the pillow. And with that, we chase eachother throughout the entire apartment until I'm finally cornered. I drop my pillow and surrender. He comes up to me and pulls me in for a kiss. It's the perfect life.
