Author's Note: This is a short ONE SHOT.

Ire

Shadow the Hedgehog released a series of animalistic growls as he made his way through Apotos. A pink hedgehog was behind him and constantly following him. She wouldn't stop no matter how many times he told her to. The pink hedgehog was relentless and just wouldn't listen.

"Shadow?" her voice touched his ears, making them twitch with pure annoyance.

The black hedgehog tried to ignore her, hands clenching into fists. He had told her many times to back off, but she never listened. She always kept that bubbly attitude of hers and was always smiling.

"Shadow?" her voice came again.

"What?" Shadow seethed, halting in his tracks and turning around to face her, wanting her to see the rage written on his facial features.

Amy Rose tilted her head to the side, gazing at him thoughtfully and in a questionable manner. "Shadow," she said for the third time, a smile spreading across her face. "Are you sure you don't know where Sonic is?"

"Yes," Shadow caterwauled dangerously. "I don't know where Sonic is."

"Are you sure?" the pink hedgehog asked again.

"If I knew where he was, why wouldn't I tell you?" Shadow retorted, trying not to shake in pure rage. If she kept asking him dumb questions he was going to explode and the little pink hedgehog would have to face his wrath.

Amy put her hands on her hips. "I don't know. I mean, whenever I ask someone where Sonic is, they act like they don't know where he is! Even Tails does it!" the female ranted with a shake of her head. "It's like they're keeping him from me!"

"I can see why…"

"What?" Amy snapped sharply, sending the Ultimate Life Form a look.

Shadow narrowed his eyes. "Nothing…"

"That's what I thought!" huffed the girl.

"Now leave me alone," yawped Shadow as he turned away from her. He started moving his legs again, trekking away from the girl. "I don't want to be bothered."

Amy was suddenly at his side. "You never want to be bothered! Come on, Shadow. Let's spend the day together! I'm great to have as company!" she giggled after the words left her mouth.

It only made Shadow even more ireful.

"I want to be alone," the black hedgehog firmly told her, fists still clenched tightly. "I don't want to be around you anyway. You're annoying."

Gasping, Amy hit his arm hard, but it didn't bring the powerful hedgehog any pain. "How dare you say such a thing to me?! I am NOT annoying!"

"Then why does Sonic run away from you?" Shadow shot back, stopping.

"He's just shy, that's all!" Amy defended, choleric.

Shadow released an unrestrained burst of sour laughter. "Do you really think that Sonic is shy? That's a load of trash and you know it, Amy," he informed her, shaking his head.

"You don't know anything about our love, Shadow!" Amy screamed at him, hitting him in the arm again. "You no nothing at all! Nothing! NOTHING!" she hit him again and again and again on the arm.

Again, Shadow was annoyed.

With lightning speed, the male grabbed her hands and ceased her violent actions. Amy looked up at him in surprise, wondering if Shadow was going to harm her. However, Shadow let go of her hands and said, "Stop hitting me."

Amy felt embarrassed.

Shadow turned away from her and started walking off. As soon as he did, he realized that he wasn't being followed anymore. He stopped moving and turned around, seeing Amy standing there with a solemn expression decorating her features. The black hedgehog felt bad, so he went back over.

"Come on then!" Shadow barked at her. "You wanted to spend the day together, so let's do it!"

Amy's face instantly brightened up. "Okay!"

So the two strolled through Apotos together and all was well and everything.
