CHAPTER ONE
Puss was heading towards the shower in the little cabin he shared with Donkey and Dragon. Donkey was trying to set him up with one of his friends but Puss was having none of it.
"No way Donkey! I am not going on this blind date! No chance!" Puss said, walking away from an insistent Donkey.
"Aw come on, Puss!" Donkey said, following him into the bathroom "At least give her a chance!"
"No!" Puss shouted from behind the duck covered shower curtain. The water started running before Puss screamed and dived out of the shower.
"What?" Donkey asked.
"One of your...your...things! He got in the shower!" Puss said, pointing into the shower.
Donkey trotted over and looked in. He rolled his eyes: "Derek! How many times have I told you not to go in the shower?"
Donkey's head appeared again from behind the curtain with one of his babys in his mouth. He dropped him on the floor.
"Now you apologize to Puss!" Donkey scolded his son.
"S'ry Push!" Derek said before flapping away on his little stubby wings.
Puss thanked Donkey before getting back in the shower.
"So, are you gonna do it?" Donkey asked.
"Do what?"
"Go on the date!"
Puss stuck his head round the curtain: "What's her name?"
"Agnes."
Puss moved back into the shower: "And I suppose she has 3 legs, no tail and one eye?"
"No, no, that's Beryl. You two aren't set up til next week!"
"I'm not doing it Donkey!" Puss shouted.
"She's cute."
"No."
"She's funny."
"No."
"She's rich!"
"No."
"She can stand on her head!"
"No Donkey!"
"You're boring!" Donkey said, leaving the room.
"Finally!" Puss said.
About 10 minutes later, Puss came back into the living room.
"So are you gonna do it?"
"NO!" He shouted., scaring the kids.
"Awww now look what you've done! I'd just got them off to sleep!" Donkey complained.
He started muttering to himself.
"I'm sorry." Puss said, "I just don't appreciate you setting me up all the time!"
He slumped in the armchair, rubbing his forehead: "I'm fine on my own!"
"How can you be so sure if you've never had anybody?" Donkey asked.
"I have and it didn't work out. It's better that I work alone." Puss said.
"That's exactly what Shrek said and look at him now!" Donkey said, "You just need to sort yourself out. go on this date tonight and if it doesn't work it won't set you up again, okay?"
Puss sighed, "Okay."
"Right, you meet her at Farbucks in 1 hour." Donkey said.
"What? How am I going to get there in time?!"
Donkey whistled and Dragon popped her head through the window.
"That's how!" Donkey said, "Hop on!"
Puss rolled his eyes. He put on his boots and hat and hopped onto Dragon, who began to take off instantly.
"HAVE FUN!" Donkey called as Dragon and Puss got higher into the air.
As Dragon flew over to Far, Far Away - Puss couldn't help but think that it was still all a bad idea.
Sooooo, what do you think? It's not very long but I promise the chapters will get longer!
