Title: Peace at Last
Rating: PG13 for suicide
Summary: You took everything that I ever had. You 'saved' me from the Chamber. You killed the man I saw as my father. And then you killed my love.
Peace in Death
Dear Harry,
I wondered why I am writing dear at the top of this letter. For you Harry are the farthest thing from dear to me. You the Boy-Who-Wouldn't-Die. You 'saved' me from the Chamber. From Tom. Or at least you think you did. In reality you took me away from my best friend. I thought perhaps that you and my brothers and Hermoine would pay attention to me after that, but of course I was wrong. I was still little Ginny to you, innocent angelic Ginny. Oh how wrong you all were.
Then in my forth year your fifth we went to the Department of Mysteries. You thought I was truly their to fight the Death Eaters. I was their to fight yes, but not for the reasons you think. I wanted to make sure you didn't destroy the prophecy that my Lord so wanted. Yes, Voldermort was my Lord. He was more my father than Arthur Weasley ever was. But as you know the prophecy was destroyed despite my efforts. But there was still hope, Father, for that is what I called him, escaped along with Bellatrix. Ah, even as you read this I'm sure her name still strikes hate into your heart for she is the one to have killed your godfather.
For two years after that you didn't have any large run ins with Father, and you all thought he had given up or was in hiding. How wrong you were, he was traveling all over the globe gathering supporters. You didn't really think that he only had the British purebloods at his side did you? And while this was going on I was in charge of the Death Eaters that were left behind. Eventually I fell in love. True most people thought I loved you, funny isn't it? But that is not the point. The man I fell in love with was none other than Draco Malfoy. One of the few people you hate almost as much as you hate my own father. But my happiness was short lived. Father returned from abroad with few new supporters.
It was then I knew that eventually you and the Order would win. But being a Gryffindor I never gave up the fight. But sadly the day came when you and Father dueled and you sent the final curse with my brother and Granger at your side. It was funny really the looks upon your faces when I ripped off my hood and fell down beside Voldermort crying my eyes out for him.
But of course Bellatrix didn't want me to suffer through Azkaban as she had and pretended that she had put the Imperious curse upon me to force me to be a Death Eater. And you believed her. But when Lucius tried to save Draco so he and I could eventually continue the fight you wouldn't believe that. You had all the Death Eaters besides me executed, including my love.
So here I am the last of the Death Eaters writing this to you Harry Potter on the day that I will die. Not as Ginerva Molly Weasley, but as Gin Riddle Princess of the Death Eaters. You couldn't let me live my life in peace with the man I saw as my father and the man I loved. So I ask you please let me at least die in peace.
Good bye Harry Potter,
May I have peace at last.
