Author's Note
Written originally as one of Jessie's Birthday Draco Drabbles. And her second annual birthday slash. Harry/Draco and, ummm...PG. Not really much except some mild slash here. It's Draco's birthday. And i don't own Draco, Harry, or Pansy. Reviewers will be worshipped.
Of Misuderstandings and Surprises
It was late. Very late, when Draco stepped into the Slytherin common room, face flushed, hair disheveled, tie hanging loosely around an open collar, and nearly fell flat on his face.
"Happy Birthday!" shouted any and every Slytherin whom he had ever even given a passing glance. Draco blinked, and recovered himself with an unimpressed snort and a brief word about how predictable they all were.
Pansy, in the short-lived excitement, hand managed to wrap her arms around his neck, throwing a glance around the room, making sure every girl within a 5 mile radius was watching her.
Draco rolled his eyes.
"Draco, where were you? We waited for at least two hours..."
He pryed her arms off of his shoulders, he really couldn't stand her fingers at his collar.
"Since when has it been your business what I do when I'm not forced to be in your mind-numbingly dull company, Pansy?"
She gaped at him, trying to form words in her rage, and turned on her gaudy, emerald encrusted heels, and stalked out of the room.
"I can't believe you Draco! I will find out who she is!"
He tried not to grin too widely as the rest of the common room stared.
And Harry laughed, between fervent kisses when he told him about it the next night, their robes in a forgotten pile on the old classroom's dusty floor.
