'I'm going to be in so much trouble,' Ginny thought as she rushed down the corridor in search of her first class for the day. She had fallen asleep in her secret place, by the time she had awoken breakfast was finished. She started searching franticly through doors for her Transfiguration class, which of all days, had to change rooms today.
After attempting the 12th door with still no luck, Ginny gave out an exasperated sound, banged her fists against the wall, and slumped to the ground in defeat. "Oh joy now I'm going to have detention till I'm 50!" she moaned into her hands. Suddenly brute of her reverie of all the horrible things Filch would make her do in detention by a familiar drawling voice.
"6 years in this place and you still don't know your way around? That's got to be a record!" Ginny couldn't stop herself from rolling her eyes at that. Sliding up her place on the wall she turned to face a handsome blonde haired boy. Their family's had been fighting since the beginning of time as far as she new, but she had never had anything against Draco Malfoy personally. She was not the type of person to start fights, but if he insisted then she wasn't going to stop him. She had her own defenses.
"Well then Oh Master of the Grounds, why aren't you in class?" His eyes grew slightly wider and she new that she had got him. He was lost too. He immediately regained his calm outer composer.
"None of your business Weasley," Draco said her family name with such venom that it became quiet clear how he felt about her even if they didn't really know each other. She was a Weasley and that was that. Ginny gave an inward sigh. It would have been nice to- well not be friends, she new a Malfoy would never go for that- but have an understanding. Yet it seemed it wasn't meant to be.
"Well then Draco, maybe you should take me to your class then, so I can ask the teacher for directions." Ginny gave him a sweet little smile. She was proud to say she could rival any Slytherin with her tongue.
He seemed to think about this for a minute before he continued, "Ha! I don't need the teachers, I know this place like the back of my hand follow me!"
He started to walk of down the corridor and as Ginny followed him she felt a great sense of foreboding. This was definitely not her day.
