Sleep What?

Tosh could sense it, though she had no idea what to do about it. So, like she had done countless times before, she ignored it. It always left her with a tiny nagging feeling of guilt, but really, someone's personal life was their personal life. Of course, this way of going about things was being thwarted time and time again after the arrival Gwen. The woman was insistent when it came to understanding people and making them talk about things and feel better, even if they didn't want to. Which was why, in just a few minutes, Toshiko was sure Gwen was going to come over to her work station and ask her to go talk to Ianto. She had absolutely no idea what she was going to say to the young man, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of impending doom for the both of them at the concerned looks Gwen was shooting him.

After a few more minutes of motherly staring, the newest addiction to the Torchwood team went over to Toshs' desk. Inwardly, the Japanese woman cringed. "What is it Gwen?" Though she knew perfectly what was going on.

"Ianto," the Welshwoman sighed. "he seems a bit.. off today. Do you think you could talk to him?"

No good deed goes horribly unpunished. Just because she was the one person in the Hub capable of keeping her mouth shut didn't mean people were necessarily going to talk to her. She forced a smile on her face. "I'll try."

A few minutes later she spotted Ianto by the coffee machine and hurried over. She wanted this over with quick. Gwen was in the autopsy bay with Owen, and Jack was in his office, so now was her chance to speak to the young man sans interruptions. Deciding to at least pretend like she wasn't there just to talk to him, she began to make a cup of tea. Ianto was staring down into his mug of coffee.

To Hell with pretense, Toshiko thought. "Ianto, are you alright?" She hardly expected him to answer, she really believed out of all of them Ianto was the best at keeping himself shut up inside where no one would ever see the true him.

So it was one hell of a shock when he looked her in the eye. "No."

It had to be serious then. Could she handle serious from Ianto? It wasn't like he could have another half-converted Cyber-girlfriend in the basement.. her stomach twisted into knots. "Do you want to tell me what's wrong?" Tosh hoped her voice was calm and reassuring.

He took a breath, steadying himself.

Oh God, she thought. He's actually going to tell me.

"Jack and I had sex last night."

The whole team knew, was this supposed to be a revelation? She kept her expression neutral.

"It was fantastic."

The irritated, contact deprived part of Tosh's mind wanted to scream out, and you're complaining, why? Her face remained neutral.

"As it turns out.. he was asleep."

The computer genius found herself mumbling, "what?" Mental images had come to mind and she was trying to redirect her focus to the task at hand.

Ianto's eyes narrowed and he clutched his coffee mug tighter. "He had sex with me, while he was asleep."

I will not laugh in front of Ianto, I will not laugh in front of Ianto.. "Oh."

Suddenly a panicked looked crossed his face. "Please, don't tell anyone."

"God Ianto, of course not."

He continued to stare her in the eye, as if judging if she could be properly trusted. In the end, Ianto just nodded his head and wandered off back towards the archives. Empty tea mug in hand, Toshiko pondered. She had been told by various people that she talked in her sleep, and she knew it to be a fairly common occurrence. She recalled a flat mate from when she was in college who used to walk around in her underwear and walk into walls. Sleeping walking was something she was familiar with also.

But sleep sex?

Only Captain Jack Harkness.

A/N Ya, this idea popped into my head a while ago and I couldn't help but write it down. People do a lot of crazy stuff in their sleep.. I figured this would be kinda of a fun poke at that. Poor Ianto.. I'll make it up to him another time.
