Bulimia.
Severus Snape a few things about pain. Mostly, that it was annoying when it was directed at him and that it reached a point when it began to do things to his brain. As he curled slightly on the small cot, a fit of coughing shaking his chest violently, he was well aware he was beyond either.
Voldemort had proven to be considerably less patient to his failures than usual.
Tasting blood, he groaned miserably and allowed himself a moment to relish in the absolute desolation that was taking over his being. And then, of course, she was there. Because she just had to ruin a perfect moment of contemplation about Death and Pain and other important things that were generally written with capitals.
"Wow," Snape felt the murderous urge raising as she clumsily set a wet rag over his brow and managed to get it tangled with his hair, "Please tell me you're coughing blood."
His voice broke the first two times he tried to answer, but the third, he conjured all the mighty wrath he could and forced his raw throat to hiss out a poisonous answer to his tormentor.
"Had I known my misery would delight you so, I might have saved a few galleons with the Shakespeare books, Auriga," He glared darkly at her, in a way that even in his pathetic state would have had anyone from fourth year and below quivering in fear.
"Oh, don't be silly Sev," She waved dismissingly, rolling her eyes at him. Snape ran a list of all the potions he could make with the chopped remains of her body. Auriga shrugged as she patted his hand, too gently for her usual recklessness, "It's just that I would worry about you if we had to add bulimia to the long list of your ailments."
Snape blinked.
"Bulimia?" He rasped out, bewildered.
"Well, really Sev, if you're going to go around sucking the blood out of innocent by standers... the least you could do is to actually keep it down," She twisted her nose in that childish fashion that made him forget whatever snide remark he was about to throw her way, "Bulimic Vampires are so anticlimactic."
