Was this not spectacular, the feared beast refusing to fight? Gaston aimed his crossbow at the creature and then released it. The arrow ripped through flesh and artery and the beast emitted a foul roar. Now that he had his attention, Gaston pounced on the creature and shoved him through a window. A vicious kick rattled the beast.

"Get up!" He demanded, letting another kick pierce through the beast's chest. "GET UP!" The nerve of Belle to defend such a thing, something too weak to even fight him, something so defeated. He laughed inwardly at her impudence. Once he had dispatched the beast, she would regain her senses and marry him, as befitting of her station. Grabbing a spiked object, he lurched closer. Tonight the beast would meet the devil, and he sure hoped Lucifer himself would not cower in fear at the sight of his face.
