DISCLAIMER: I don't own Gone or Power of Five- I just came up with this slightly funny Crossover. I don't own any other mention- whatever. just don't copy my ideas.

To understand this, you really have to have read both books- or at least looked them up on Wikipedia (: Set after Necropolis and at the start of GONE. Please note that I've shifted the Five's birthdays a bit, so they turn 15 in a bit... umm... so yeah- read on...

C1- Why are we in California

'Richard, why are we driving through California?' Matt Freeman questioned his guardian, he still didn't really understand why Richard had insisted coming here- they were meant to be looking for Scott, Scarlett and Pedro.

Jamie sat in the back of the car- trying to contact his twin telepathically. Richard turned to Matt who sat next to him, 'Because I have a friend here that can help us.'

Matt sighed, looking out of his window into the depths of the National Park, 'Friend? We come from England- how do you know anyone in California? Are they with the Nexus?' Richard glared, silently.

Jamie looked up, 'Why California? You know I hate California- too many bad memories…' Jamie had saved Scott here, this state was bound to remind Jamie of losing his twin in the first place. 'And I'm hungry, we haven't stopped for hours' Jamie moaned.

'Yeah, I'm hungry too!' Matt agreed. Richard sighed- 'Fine, there's a town coming up- I think it's called Perdido Beach.' Matt's eyes widened, 'Isn't that the place where there's tons of radiation underground from a meteorite crashing into the nuclear power plant?'

'Umm… I don't know… Is it?' Richard pondered. Jamie's stomach growled, 'I don't care- Give me all the possibly radiated food you can find. Now.'

The trees ended as they left the National Park, replaced by open desert on Jamie's side and the glistening water out of Matt's window. Matt sniffed loudly, smelling burnt toast, 'umm, guys- something bad is going to happen…'

Jamie was staring out into the desert, 'something bad like giant evil animals, clouds of angry fly-things and a giant shadow that lives of death; that want to destroy all life on Earth. Or something bad like a deflated tyre. You need to specify these things Matt.'

'I'm not sure…' Matt looked out of his window into the cloudless sky, he yawned loudly. 'We'll be there soon- if you're tired I suggest you take a nap' Richard told him.

Matt leaned back in his seat- he wasn't that tired… ZZZ…
