Prologue

Dark clouds hide what little moonlight could be seen, the only hint of light was from the lamps perched on window stills. A faint breeze stirred the branches over head, tainting the air with the smell of smog and pollution. All was quite, save for the few people heading home. A mother and her two daughters, who seemed to be only five, quickly walked past the rows of porches. Unaware of the looming danger that followed them like a dark storm.
