Disclaimer: I don't own House M.D. Okay, this is my first attempt at a Huddy fanfic. Hope you enjoy it!
"A cat peed on my chair," House complained, barging into Cuddy's office.
Quite shocked at his sudden appearance, she put her paperwork aside as she stood up and thought of how to react. "It's your fault for keeping the cat here in the hospital," she accused, slightly agitated he'd come whining to her.
"No, its Kunter's fault who decided it would be fun to annoy me," House corrected.
Cuddy chuckled, "Good it'll keep you on your toes." She bit her lip, lightly, as she walked around her desk to sit on the front of it, almost defensive.
Scoffing, he said with a hint of a devilish grin, "I'm already on my toes wondering how revealing your next outfit will be."
"Why do I put up with you?" she huffed, aiming the question more to herself than him.
"Because I'm the love doctor," he informed as he waggled his eyebrows. Her disbelieving stare bore into him causing him to defend his claim, "Think about it: First, Cameron and Chase, now Foreman and Thirteen. Love is in the air."
Cuddy let out a laugh as she shook her head; House had a point, but it was just plain weird. But she had to admit she certainly didn't mind weird; she liked weird, she wanted weird. "Is there a proposition laced in there?" Cuddy asked, playing right into his game.
Looking down, aimlessly at his cane he joked, "Maybe, it depends on whether or not your cold, cold heart can feel the love." House looked back up, surprised to find her standing so close in proximity to him. To be honest with himself, he'd never really felt so insecure around another human being before, or maybe it was just the anticipation of what was to come. Inhaling sharply, House stood his ground, reminding himself he was taller and had a cane, and she was left defenseless. "So do you feel it?" he asked, breaking the silence with a sharp stare.
Cuddy gently pressed her lips into his before he deepened it shortly after she had made the move; she desperately wanted for it to mean something this time, to change something. They spent a good minute or so sharing each other's warm lips before she pulled away. "Yeah, I feel the love," she whispered before asking, "Do you want to do something on Saturday?"
"Sure," House agreed still in slight shock from her move. House turned towards the door without saying another word.
Cuddy frowned, thinking he was running away from her again. "Where are you going?"
"To change my pants!" he called as he kept walking. "I sat in pee remember?"
Letting out a laugh, Cuddy bit her lip in anticipation; this relationship wouldn't be easy, but perhaps the challenge was what she needed. It was certainly better than being alone.
