Who knew how impactful one year could be?
They always thought it'd be Elsa with the cold heart, not her younger sister. But as the months passed, Elsa noticed Anna was changing, becoming more curt, more cruel. Her auburn hair started to become pale once again, like some hellish nightmare. The trolls told them bitterly that a piece of ice remained in Anna's heart still, and so for the rest of her life she would grow kind and uncaring toward her loved ones, unable to proclaim her love for them. The closer the bond, the harsher the words.
That made Elsa the most vulnerable victim.
The daily visits to Kristoff and Sven became monthly, the ice skating lessons with Elsa became nothing more than a faint memory, and the play dates with Olaf a bitter pain to think of. Elsa blamed herself for Anna's hatred toward her, and Anna could only sit there and scream internally that it wasn't her fault.
But Anna's cold heart betrayed her truthful words, so she could never tell Elsa that it wasn't her fault. Through it all, Elsa still loved her.
