His mind is split, between what he means to say and what wants to he says. But he's careful to sound and look like he doesn't have thought on his mind. He's careful to follow the script, lie, then give the real message beneath is all.

He uses choice words but is careful to make them sound as nothing more then a sincere apology. And if all that wasn't enough, the tapping of his fingers against his knee was yet another speech. Yet another thing that divided his mind.

'The water is warm.' He starts, say other words, shifting his eyes, starting and stopping in time with his brother's words.

'The cool air brushes over us. My arms hold you close,'

He stops for a long moment, careful to make his fingers tapping appear as nothing.

'The sea lures us into sleep.'

Michael starts his message to her, careful to keep his eyes focused from the paper to the camera, he needs her to hear his words more then this tapped promise. But that doesn't mean he doesn't mean what his fingers are saying.

'The water is warm, and we'll be there soon, together. I promise.'

When he ends it he can't help but give a little smile, he knows deep down, she received both messages.
