It's finally morning. I wake up to the calm sounds of the wind circling around my wooden house. Walking over to my crafting table, I realize that my only items are a leather tunic, matching boots, a wooden shovel, and a stone sword. With no second thoughts, I craft a stone pickaxe and make my way to the mining area. On the way, I pass small chickens, pigs, even a rogue zombie. I flip out my sword and kill him with two slices. My certain mining area that I've chosen today is a nice and pretty sight. Tall trees surround the desolate area, perfect to create a crafting table or a quick pickaxe if needed. The sky is blue and not many clouds cover the beautiful color. The chartreuse grass feels soft to the touch. I use my shovel to dig through two layers of dirt and finally find the cobblestone. Switching to the pickaxe, I start to design an intricate tunnel pathway leading from my house to the mining area.

Night falls. My forehead and palms are sweaty. I wipe my face with my left hand. "Only thirteen more blocks to go," I silently remind myself. Digging more cobblestone, I uncover a layer of bedrock. "Damn it," I mumble. Instantly I pull out my shovel to return to the surface. After entering my house once more, I build three furnaces and smelt iron from the forty ores I had found. As I replace my leather armor for iron, and I also create myself an iron sword. I grab three random buckets and journey into the tunnels again.

To my surprise, the tunnels are darker than expected. I have no time to go back and pick up some torches. In order to retrieve my 'new' crafting table, speed is necessary. If any mobs, especially creepers spawn on me… I'm toast. Literally… I'll be burnt bread. "Just focus on the crafting table," I tell myself, "There's absolutely nothing to be afraid of. You can do it." Wiping my brow with my sleeve, I continue on and return to the other side. Luckily I manage to recover the crafting table and head towards home. I look up and notice the sky is still pitch black. My eye suddenly catches a dim figure approaching my location. Once I spot the figure's outline, I visualize my worst nightmare in the process. The figure comes up closer to my location and reveals itself as a green creeper with piercing red eyes.

"Get the Nether out of here!"

My brain went nuts and heart practically bounced out of my chest. I ran for my life until I thought I couldn't breathe anymore. Either I would die of lack of oxygen or that damn creeper. Feeling lightheaded, I push myself to retreat into the group of trees near my house. However, I envision slaying the creeper in half with a strong grip on the iron sword.

Instead, the sun comes into focus from across the farmland. I swallow a sigh of relief as I jump out of my hiding spot and take the creeper by surprise. After a few hits, the creeper looks as it will blow. I hit it one last time and sprint back to my house. From my window, I glance out at the damage that the creeper has done to the land. Although my tunnel is now ruined, I am honestly glad that the creeper is gone… for now.
