Disclaimer – Trudi Canavan owns it all. Everything. But I'm sure she doesn't mind if I borrow them briefly…
A/N – Very short, I know, but I'm using this so I can get used to Dannyl's character. I haven't written for The Black Magician Trilogy yet, so if you have any pointers? I will then write, perhaps, a nice long one. Maybe.
See mistakes, tell me!
Update A/N: Thank-you, Laura, for pointing out my mistakes (: ALL SORTED!
Dannyl smiled, stretching slightly in the bed, only to relax again, watching the young man next to him. Tayend snored softly on, oblivious to the world around him.
This was so surreal to him, he still couldn't quite believe it. Not long ago, he had been incapable of feeling affection above friendship. Of course, he had done that to himself, healing himself from the 'unnatural' feelings for the same gender whilst forgetting they were there at all. But then, when he had lost most of his powers, and Tayend had been there, and he realised that he was a lad, and the memories had come rushing back…
Ironic, that in order to love a man, he had to come close to death. But he would go through that pain again for Tayend. He would do anything for this man.
Had he really been missing out on all this emotion, all these feelings? Is that why he felt empty, instead spending his time trying to fill up the gap with experiments on alchemy? How could he have lived, when there was nothing to live for?
But not now. Here he was, sharing a bed with the man he loved. Yes, there would be consequences. Dared he tell anyone? Would they notice? What if someone read his mind? He pushed those thoughts away, and instead concentrated on the handsome man that had stolen his heart.
Stroking the soft hair, and marvelling at the beauty of his lover, he closed his eyes, slowly falling, yet again, into a content sleep.
A/N – You know, a review would be nice… Thank-you for reading!
