I can't believe April choose Donnie over me…Casey moped on the stairs to his school entryway. The night before, April was bawling while they were in the park. "Donnie told me he loved me." She cried. "Even though he knows I'm with you. I love you, Casey. You know that. But I feel like I've had feelings for him since we met. "I feel like I'm in love with him. There's a difference between loving someone and being in love…" April look Casey in the eyes and kissed him once more. "And being in love is far greater."
Casey felt a tear roll down his swollen face. April was his first real love, and he hated to lose her to some mutant turtle. But Donnie was his friend, and he couldn't hate him for loving her.
"You okay?" April's friend, Irma, had walking over to him.
"What does it look like?!" Casey yelled. He buried his face into his knees. "Go away!"
"Casey, I know you're the tough guy. But crying won't hurt you rep. Pushing people away will. Let it all out, it's okay to cry." Irma wasn't going anywhere.
Casey looked up to her. He told her everything, without mentioning that Donnie was a mutant turtle with kick-ass ninja skills.
She understood everything. Having a broken heart sucks, but it will heal over time.
As time went on, Casey and Irma grew closer. They were best friends. After graduation, Irma left to California to go to Stanford. Eventually, Casey and Irma lost contact with each other.
Casey stayed in New York and ventured with the turtles and April. He usually hung out with Raph since they got along the most.
Four years later, Casey is aged 22, he was walking down the street when a beautiful young woman walked up to him. "Casey Jones? Is it really you?"
He tilted his head a little. This girl looked very familiar. "Irma." He smiled. He felt warmth in his chest and butterflies in his stomach. "It's good to see you again."
