Don't cry and don't say you're sorry
A/N: Heres a really cute yet sad one shot.
Summary: She didn't want him to be sorry. She was glad. She was happy. He should be too.

Ayame layed on the ground breathing heavily. "Ayame" whispered Koga as he knelt besides her. "Why?" he had to know. Why?
FLASHBACK
Koga was battling with some demon. An archer stood poised aimed straight for Koga's back.
'Ayame whatever you do don't come and help. Stay safe, I'll be fine!' the words echoed through her head.
She saw the archer pull back the string ready to release. "NO!" she cried as tears stained her eyes. She dived in the arrows path just as Koga killed the demon.
END FLASHBACK
"Because I love you Koga" she breathed as blood gushed out of her back.
"Ayame I am so sor-"he was cut off as she used her remaining strength to press their lips together.
"Don't be sorry Koga...and don't cry...I'm glad I did it...be glad. For me." She told him softly.
"But Ayame" silent tears streamed down his face.
"Koga...I'll always be here for you....In spirit." She said as she held his hand lightly.
Her hand went limp. "Ayame no..don't die...please Ayame you're to strong to die!" he cried in exasperation. But it was too late.
She was gone. He buried his face in her shoulder. It was his fault. If he had been quicker. But no. Now he lost her. His love. His life. His mate.
