I Have Failed You My Friend
Here I lay dying and without having told him what he needs to know, not only what he must do to save us all but that I did not hate him so. It has came to the point that it breaks my heart to know that the son of Lily thinks I despise him.
Wait! He is here, never have I been so glad to see him. But I lack the words to tell him, Albus. Then I shall have to show him everything, I'll give him memories of his mother too, that'll explain it all. Yes, I'll use the last of my strength to do that.
I feel the memories leaking as I grab him and pull him closer. He looks sad even though I've given him no reason to mourn me. You where right, his mother's kindness is strong in him.
"Take it" I stammer it out, it takes a few tries but he gets the message, Miss Granger, gets it first and gives him what he needs. A bright girl I must admit. Dying seems to have made me all complimentary, oh dear. I'm about to join you now. But I need one last look, his eyes are so much like his mothers.
"Look at me"
He does and I see everything that was Lily but I must admit that all these years of watching over him has made me quite fond of him. This I tell him as I too die, just like nearly every other protector in his life.
Let I be the last, if justice exists.
Sadly I will be.
Damn life, that what I have given him leads him to his death.

Ah Severus, worry not, There is hope for him yet, we must trust him and his friends once more. Have faith!
Of Course Albus, he can do it but he has lost so many. What will become of him once all is done here?
Ah that I know not, and will not till it happens. Come let us watch over him in death as we did in life.
