Note: Both the title and this piece came out of a piece of music I heard on one of my random trollings on the Internet. (Those who know me know I adore film scores and trailer music - today I stumbled onto a treasure trove website. Oh, bliss...) Anyway, there's this sweeping, building Gothic piece on there that just inspired this in one blazing go.
And the image of Abel and Johanna waltzing in a cathedral in flames leapt into my mind the instant I heard it. The whole thing is written to the time of the song.
Unfortunately, I can't save the damned piece, so to find it, go to videohelper dot com, and under the CATEGORY search, select DRAMA, then HORROR, then scroll halfway down the page until you find a track called "End of the World". Alternately, you can find the exact link to the file in my May 12th LiveJournal entry.
Waltzing in Hell
abandon hope
all ye who enter here
dark fire
black stars
hell's light
come dance with me
as we join the
dance
in the flames
dance
call our names
and watch heaven blaze
under your gaze
and
dance
as we dream
dance
hear us scream
a prayer no one heeds
as spirits bleed
and
dance
skin on skin
dance
pull us in
dance with me
now
hope falls to night
still we dance
eyes burning bright
still we dance
each step is a sin
let our endless waltz begin
dance
on our pyre
dance
blood and fire
dance
pure desire
in you I will burn forever
in hell we will be together
dance
watch us turn
dance
as we burn
dance
how I yearn
dance
sweet inferno
the world dies around us
as we
dance
in our thrall
dance
watch us fall
burn it all
