"It'll be fine," I always comfort him. "They can't hurt you now that I'm here."
Both held each other, Kakashi's mission strong arms wrapped around Iuka's waist and Iruka clutching his love's shoulder through the heavy ninja vest. Kakashi continued to stare up into the sky.
"We're together again and that's all that matters." It's my job to calm him down even with the pain I feel so I take what I say to heart and hope he does the same.
Iruka buried his face into Kakashi's shoulder. The pain both felt for different reasons led Kakashi to take one hand and raise it to Iuka's face and lift his head, placing a chaste kiss on his lips through the mask.
"It'll be fine." Once again I'm trying to calm him and make him feel better.
