Chapter 1

So. This was it. Valentines Day was in three days and Sam didn't have a boyfriend. Or any possible chance of getting one within the next three days. She didn't let it get her down though.

This was the first time she had remembered that little complication for a while. She was at the Groovy Smoothie, drinking a smoothie. Carly and Freddie were there. They were suppose to be discussing new ideas for the web show, but Sam couldn't help but drift off into a thought. She felt comfortable it her daydream until a flash of a memory appeared in her mind.

Sam shook herself out of her trance. She's been trying to suppress that memory from her mind for too long. It just doesn't seem to go away, the kiss…

"Are you alright, Sam?" Freddie waved his hand in front of Sam's eyes. "you look dazed." Sam looked up at him. He was leaning in towards her, she could feel his breath on her face.

"Yeah." She gave him a soft smile. "What do you care anyway, Fredward?" Sam leaned in to Freddie, a stern look on her face.

"Freddie was taken aback. "Well forgive me for trying to be polite. Just forget I said anything." Freddie slouched back in his chair, looking away from Sam. She did the same, rolling her eyes.

"Whatever." Sam hated these sort of arguments, she didn't feel she could put any effort into them anymore. Carly quickly changed the subject.

"So," she started, "what's everyone planning on doing Monday night?" both Sam and Freddie groaned. Freddie had no date either. "oh, right." Carly looked away then started to think. "well, why don't you two come over on Monday and we can watch a movie or something." She was trying to sound like she didn't really care, but Sam knew she cared. This was the first year , in Sam's memory, that Carly hasn't had a boyfriend on Valentines Day, or at least Freddie to throw himself at her, but he grew out of that last year. Freddie looked up.

"Sure." Freddie said, "will Spencer be there?" Sam looked at him.

"Nah, Spencer has a date with this random girl he met at the bakery."

Freddie couldn't help himself, "Does she have nice buns?" He burst out laughing, only stopping when he saw the un-amused expressions on the girls faces. He bowed his head in shame.

Sam rolled her eyes, "Anyway, sounds like a plan. Us lonely single teens having a night of wishing we were somewhere else with someone else." She'd never admit it to herself but the only person she wanted to be with on Monday night was Freddie.

"Yes, pretty much. Thanks for making my plan sound like prison." Carly said sarcastically. Sam looked up at her.

"Hey, it's what I'm here to do." Sam smiled and lent back in her chair, putting her feet up on the table, purposely knocking over Freddie's smoothie so that it spilled all over his front.

"Sam!" Freddie grunted. Sam Giggled. He then looked to Carly "I'd argue back but I know all I'd get would be an insult." Sam sat up.

"Hey! I don't always insult you." Sam pointed at Freddie's face. "And be grateful I don't, Fredward." She grabbed his nose between her thumb and fore-finger, pulling him out of his seat and throwing him backwards. Freddie groaned in pain rubbing his nose. Carly was still trying to stay out of the conversation.

Sam stormed out of the Groovy Smoothie slamming the door on her way out, "Sam! Come back here!" Freddie shouted, scrambling to his feet and chased after her. Carly took a sip of her smoothie as if nothing happened.
