Prologue

The annoying sent of humans was all through this horrible place. So I had put up my 'disguise' just in case any were out. Oh! I'm Paradise, and my 'disguise' is a human form of a girl who looks about 18, even though I really am 180, with long midnight black hair that ended just at my knees and smooth pale skin. My true form is a wolf about the size of a horse. I have long fur that could blend in any darkness and both forms I have glowing pale grey eyes.

The air blew briskly, cooling my naturally hot body. This had to be the most stupid thing my father wanted me to do…receive a letter. The other had been leaving near dusk and wondering around human dens. I glanced over my shoulders frequently. I was risking everything, coming out of hiding like this, but he couldn't wait any longer.

*What was SO important that father needed in this letter now?*

I pushed my body forward extending my legs quickening my lazy walk to more of a power walk the feeling of being watching over came me. I tried to ignore those thoughts from my mind they were only making me panic even more. I slowed down now that I was in the snowy Alaskan forest. I closed my eyes relaxing getting ready to shift back when a sharp

came from in front of me, causing my eyes to snap open peering into the forest for the source. The forest was once again went silent… wait silent? Something was wrong there was at least an owl would still be hooting. I slowly started walking again, forcing myself to be alert of the slight sounds and once again, this time, the sound are definitely footsteps. Instinct took over and before I could even think I was running through the forest, something whizzed past my face, coming within a few inches. A faint

-Pauk!-(F word)

*Wait… I know what that means.*

Suddenly, another whizzed was heard and before I had a chance to think I was on the grown rolling around in a net. My heart was about ready to jump out of my chest.

*WHAT IS GOING OOONNN?! Was this some new way of training my father was trying to teach me?*

My head spin in circles trying to figure what was going on. I blinked my eyes a few times as blood trickled down my cheek.

*Is that…blood?*

I put my fingers to my face as I look at the red liquid on them.

/Thud/

I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer, the last thing I heard before I went to wonderland was heavy breathing…
