A/N: I've been preoccupied with reading Alec/Max fanfics for the past few weeks and I suddenly got an idea for a short one-shot. I also got another one coming up which is a bit longer than this I presume. Anyway, hope you enjoy this short ficlet anyway.
The female lead kept ranting about the situation of being stuck with the guy she least wanted to be with at the moment. The guy got hit by a bullet and became unconscious, the girl suddenly got worried. While the guy was seemingly asleep, the girl poured her heart out not wanting to lose the man beside her. The girl got taken aback when another pair of lips suddenly covered hers. She was shocked and looked ahead to see the guy staring back at her. And he kissed her again this time passionately and she responded to his delight.
Alec's attention to the movie got interrupted when he heard someone snickering near him. "What?"
"Nothing." Max replied returning a knowing smile.
Alec finally figured what the other person in the room is making fun of after noticing the direction of glances she's giving him and laughing afterwards. "She reminds me of someone I know okay, can't help it. Besides, you're the one who insisted to watch a crappy romantic movie here."
"Relax, you're getting defensive. It's so unbecoming of you Alec." Max was obviously having the time of her life being the one getting on his nerves this time around. Scooting closer to him, she whispered, "Since when did you get shy about having it?"
"Since the one I want noticed it. Now that's embarrassing and she doesn't know she's causing it." He couldn't dare look at her because any moment now he'd earn either a laugh or a mocking look from her. What a way to lose your alpha male status, he mentally told himself.
To his surprise she positioned herself between his legs.
She could feel his throbbing reaction pressing against her wanting heat. She searched those hazel eyes and only finding nothing but sincerity and care, "I love you Maxie."
She grinned back and replied, "I know."
"Then why do you keep on beating my ass and treating me like a screwed up all the time?"
"To let you know that you always got my attention." Her statement earned a usual smirk from Alec.
"Okay, I'll buy that." And before they know it, they've already hit the bed with the lights out.
